Nobody Safe Tour

If anyone knows me well, you would be sure to know I’m a huge fan of Future.  The first date for the Nobody Safe Tour in Atlanta, the best city ever 🙂 , was on May 5th.  Without a question when my best friend asked me to attend, I was there!  First flight out of NYC to my hometown to share this moment. Okay, so normally Cinco de Mayo consumes this day without a doubt but this May 5th would definitely be different.  Of course, we indulged in the festivities and had margaritas for a little pre-game but the hype for the evening was this concert.  Unfortunately, it had to be the coldest day Atlanta had so far in 2017 and it was rainy.  Never mind these circumstances, the show must go on and my excitement for it remained at its highest.

After standing in the “mist” and cold for about 15 min, we made our way to our seats and waited for the show openers.  To my surprise, Young Thug graced the staged first.  He sung a few songs, repped his hometown of course, and wrapped up in about 20 min or so I would say.  Ok no biggie.  Enough time to grab snacks and wait for the next appearances.  Moments later, the man of the hour appeared.  Singing hit after hit and really giving the fans a show to remember.  Unfortunately, the Migos did not make our show or any other guests for that matter.  Since this is Future’s hometown and he’s one of the most popular rappers in the industry, I just knew he would bring out a slew of artists as surprise guests.  To our surprise the only guest was Trouble, an up and coming rapper in Atlanta.  Being the huge fan that I am, I could care less but I did travel many miles to share this moment.  Come on Hendrix lol.

As the night continued, I remembered thinking to myself and then telling my best friend “Future has arrived”.  To see the sold-out crowd and to be in Atlanta for this was monumental for me.  I often gazed the crowd to see them just as hyped as I was to hear the Atlanta classic “Itchin”, seeing them sing word for word to “March Madness” and the reaction to ‘Mask Off” was unreal.  Future has definitely created a lane of his own lane and continues to deliver, especially from his latest project Hndrxx.  I loved the production and melodic tunes from this one.  Just might be deemed my favorite thus far.  Nonetheless, I can honestly say I genuinely enjoyed this show.  Didn’t get a ton of photos or videos this time around, just lived in the moment for once. I did capture a few good moments 🙂 .

Forever 100

YG’s F*** Donald Trump Tour has made its way to NYC and he decided to have a pop-up hosted by Community 54.  I was able to make it conveniently after work to check it out thanks to my shared lyft ride for $4.75 :-). Upon entering, solid white hats embroidered with 4 Hunnid in red and solid red hats stamped with ‘Make America 400 Again’ lined the wall; the latter item was quite genius and goes great with the overall theme of the concert.  Kudos to YG and team for that one!  Tour shirts with a very fitting picture of YG and others, Kamaiyah being one, with all tour dates printed on the back, camo hoodies with 4 Hunnid printed in red and the solid white hoodie ‘Forever 100’ with the westside symbol were all available for purchase too.

Hoodies were $60, tees were $32 as well as the hats with the exception of the brown 4 Hunnid hat which was being sold for $38. Very reasonably priced merch if I do say so myself.  I decided to grab the camo hoodie.  I’m semi obsessed with camo for some strange reason and it just pairs nicely with a lot of things.  So many ways to rock it so be on the lookout for that later on the site.  I also grabbed the sticker pack which included 3 stickers for $5. Another good deal.  Hopefully this pop up will make it to other areas.  Take a look at pics I was able to capture below and please help make America 400 again.

Trapsoul

Many may be asking just who is this Bryson Tiller guy?  The one who has pretty much taken over the R&B lane and everyone’s girl in the process.  The melodic tunes over somewhat harder trap beats, for lack of better words, creates a sound that is perfect for today’s genre of music and what we now characterize as an R&B artist.  Very similar to the soundof Partynextdoor, you cannot deny that Bryson is indeed one of the best in the game right now and headed to the top at a very fast pace.  I had the pleasure of attending the Trapsoul tour in New York at Webster Hall and this was an unforgettable show.  Me, along with the other attendees of the first sold out show, sung nearly every word of each track as he performed the Trapsoul album in its entirety along with a few other tunes that he has released this far.  I am so glad I was able to attend this concert in such an intimate setting.  There was a recent interview with Bryson in which he was in fact enlightened about the big deal it was to be sold out at Radio City Music Hall in New York city. I will probably not see Bryson so close and personal again for the price that I did so I definitely showed my appreciation by joining in on all of the songs and lived in the moment of this frenzy behind this humble R&B crooner that has for surely won the hearts of many.
