Meet Chanteria. A native of Atlanta, GA and currently conquering the jungle of New York. I am a lover of quite a few things but this blog was created to show my love for fashion, food and events. My style varies as I can be girly girly at times but can also easily transition to tomboy chic. Shopping is my guilty pleasure and I really do not have favorites when it comes to stores to shop with. If it’s fashionable and cute, I’ll purchase it; no matter the place. Thrift stores, H&M, and Necessary Boutique make up the bulk of my go to places here in New York.
I am definitely a foodie at heart. Food happens to be pretty high on my happy meter in life so I will showcase the places I dine for brunch, dinner, a quick snack or just dessert on occasion. Currently I am based in New York so a lot of places will be in New York City but I travel from time to time. I will highlight restaurants in those places as well on my random adventures to other travel destinations.
Being in New York, I can honestly say no two days are the same. I love the fact that everyday can consist of a new adventure. This fashion capital often has a lot of events geared towards the theme of fashion with designer shows, opening of new clothing line boutiques and pop-up stores with exclusive merchandise to name a few. Other events may include music festivals, concerts, sporting events and food festivals. I have attended a number of events, sometimes planned and other times not so much, that have created such a great memory and experience for me. From an intimate concert with Kendrick Lamar at an art gallery space to meeting one of my favorite NBA players, Paul George, during all-star weekend. You name it and NYC has pretty much hosted something that involved your favorite actor, artist, ball player, writer, designer, etc. I will cover the events that I attend and hope that maybe you can either comment with your experience if you attended as well or just share the experience with me through my perspective.
